Recorded for the exhibition Indien: Hanna Mattes and Eva Mattes at Belmacz, London (2025), The Horizon Is Too Loud was released as a limited edition of three vinyl records. The work features the artist reading from her Pacific Journals, written in January and February 2024 while travelling from Chile to Australia with her mother, Eva Mattes. The second part of the track on the other side of the vinyl comprises oceanic recordings, where restless waves create a calming soundscape.
