Gernot Wieland receives the aus-blicke prize
we are delighted to announce that Gernot Wieland’s 2022 film, Turtleneck Phantasies, has been awarded the aus-blicke prize.
commenting on the film, the jury said: “We would like to honour a film that touched us on every level. A palimpsest of stories about being touched; about touch and its decades-long reverberations. The concerted arrangement of documentary and (auto-)fictional elements provides a clear view of the interfaces between individual and collective, inclusion and exclusion, sanctity and hospitalization.”
