congratulations to Gernot Wieland, whose film The Perfect Square has been announced as one of the films to be screened as part of the ‘Forum Expanded’ at the Berlinale 2024.

developed over twelve years, for The Perfect Square Gernot worked with an animal trainer who taught birds to fly in circles or squares. The film examines how aesthetic norms influence Western views of the world and why these norms end in failure.
