“I perceive everything around me that I could call modernity as too loud, too fast, and this speed in turn as too slow, or rather, as too repetitive, as a constant meandering hunger. So, to visualize this meandering hunger, I chose Buster Keaton, Sigmund Freund and Rose Ausländer. For me at least, no one describes modernity, this being lost in it, better than Buster Keaton. And I like to read Marx through the lens of Freud, the social becomes a psychoanalysis becomes a social. And what better way to end this “Project of the Unfinished” than with a poem by Rose Ausländer?” – Gernot Wieland
