Hanna Mattes’ collective, Dead Darlings, return to Athens on Saturday 18th April for the twenty-second edition of their anonymous art auction.

Resurrecting a mixture of artworks from Athens-based and international artists, these formerly discarded works receive their moment in the spotlight as they are offered up at a low symbolically low starting price. The name of the maker will only be revealed live after the sale, adding excitement to the moment, while ensuring people bid for a work they connect to intuitively. All the relevant information (except of course the name of the artist!) for each piece can be found in the online catalogue and the printed auction guide.

Entrance is free, the atmosphere is focused but casual, and you are invited to come and go as you please.

Agios Votanikos will be taking care of the bar for the evening, with homemade kombucha, local wine and beer, and a special Dead Darlings Cocktail.

Doors open at 4pm and the auction will take place between 6pm and 8pm.
