b_books present Artists Read #2 – Fault Lines: Hanna Mattes
On Saturday 28th November, Hanna Mattes will be reading a section of ‘Flying Rivers’ at b_books.
An ongoing project with its origins in the Ozark forests of Arkansas, ‘Flying Rivers’ explores the human desire for connectedness. Based on the relationships built with the people there, Hanna catalogues their surroundings through photography and text. In doing so, she uses the idea of tree communication—through root systems, fungal networks, and atmospheric processes—as a metaphor for human interaction.
Doors will open at 7pm, with the reading commencing at 7:30pm.
