Stefan Benchoam, one of artnet’s Innovators and the co-founder of Proyectos Ultravioleta (Guatemala), has named Abbas as one of his artists to be watching.

In talking about why, he says: “I continue to be taken by the work of Abbas Zahedi, and his ability to transform such difficult and personal subjects, as grief, into the most poetic of experiences through his work.”
