Delighted to announce that Abbas Zahedi is one of the recipients of Artangel’s Making Time award.

Abbas has long been interested in Sarat Maharaj’s 2002 essay, Xeno-Epistemics. In this text, Maharaj refers to art knowledge as ‘a matter of inventing other ways of thinking-knowing […] other epistemological engines [… and] ways of knowing otherness.’ For Making Time, Abbas will work through these ideas in an ‘art’ and ‘research’ context; exploring what a process of ‘becoming-other-than-material’ could be like across a series of actions.
